Hvad koster Netflix? Netflix priser forklaret
Netflix is by far the most popular streaming service here in Denmark and the same is true abroad. But how much does it actually cost to have a Netflix subscription? The answer is that it varies – read along here and find out how much it will cost you to have a Netflix subscription so you can stream their back catalogue.
Netflix in Denmark
Netflix prices in Denmark generally start at approx. DKK 119 per month, but this may vary depending on the package you choose and whether or not you want to add extras like HD viewing or 4K streaming.
The most expensive solution is the Ultra HD 4K package, which costs you DKK 149 per month. However, this includes a lot of features that may not be necessary for everyone, so it’s worth taking the time to consider what you really need before signing up for a subscription.
One important thing to remember is that Netflix offers a free trial for new users, so if you’re not sure if you want to commit to a monthly subscription right now, you can always sign up for the trial and cancel it.
Is it true that Netflix operates with varying prices according to country?
Yes, Netflix adapts their prices to each individual country and there is thus a big difference in the price, depending on where you are. In the US, Netflix is starting, for example at 7.99 dollars per month, but in Denmark it starts at 119 kroner per month.
In the UK, Netflix prices start e.g. at £5.99 per month, while in Canada they start at CAD 8.99 per month.
This is because the cost of living is different in individual countries and also because the taxes on streaming services vary from place to place. In Denmark, there are e.g. a 25% levy on all digital services, meaning Netflix has to take more to make up for this.
The different Netflix subscriptions
There are three main Netflix subscriptions that you can choose from and they all come with a differentiated price, not surprisingly.
Netflix Basis
The first and cheapest Netflix subscription is the basic package. With this package, you get access to all of Netflix’s content, but only in standard definition (SD). This means that the picture quality is not as good as the other packages on offer, but it is still watchable. The Basic package costs DKK 119 per month.
Netflix Standard
The next step up is the Standard subscription, which gives you access to HD content as well as everything included in the Basic package. The big difference here is that you will be able to watch series and movies in HD, which is a big step up from SD. The standard package costs DKK 149 per month.
Netflix Premium
The most expensive and feature-rich Netflix subscription is the Premium package. Here you get the whole package and more, including access to 4K content and the ability to watch on four screens at the same time. The premium package costs DKK 179 per month.
The best value for money
So which Netflix subscription offers the most value for money? It really depends on what you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend. If you just want to watch series and movies in SD, the Basic package is enough for you. But if you’re looking for HD content or even 4K content, you’ll need to upgrade to the Standard or Premium package, respectively.
Either way, Netflix is a great value streaming service with a lot going for it, so it’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a new way to
