YouSee’s TV packages

YouSee is one of the largest TV providers in Denmark and offers several different types of TV packages. Their prices start at DKK 299 per month and go up to DKK 599 per month.

You decide for yourself which channels and services you want, so it can be adapted to your needs. Plus, you can record your favorite shows, start over, pause playback and more!

YouSee Play offers several subscriptions and each subscription has a different number of points that can be used to buy TV channels or streaming services. 1-4 points are required for TV channels, while streaming services cost between 2-19 points.

You have the option of choosing between 10, 20, 30 and 40 points in your subscriptions with prices from DKK 299 per month – all DR’s channels are always included. When you have already reached the maximum number of 40 points, you also then have the opportunity to buy extra points for only DKK 10 per month.

Stofa’s TV packages

Stofa offers a number of different Danish channels, and it’s great that you have so many options to choose from. You can get a regular package with fixed channels, or you can choose a package with a specific number of channels that you handpick yourself. Or if you want complete freedom of choice, you can choose any combination of Stofa’s channels without being tied to a specific package. Regardless of which solution you choose, all Stofa subscriptions come with a box with functions such as recording functions.

You can watch the channels via an app, and there is also access to DR’s TV archive. As mentioned, the freedom of choice is great, but the price is a bit high. The small TV package costs DKK 239, and if you want to add eight optional channels, it will be DKK 454 in total.

MoreTV’s TV packages

With More TV, you get Denmark’s cheapest TV package with a guarantee. The best part is that there are a minimum of packages, channels and additional services available, so you don’t have to spend hours looking through different options to find the perfect solution for you. While this may be an advantage for some people, others may see it as a disadvantage because not everyone will be able/interested in watching DR channels or TV 2 regions.

The best thing about these channels is that you can watch them through an app, so it’s very versatile and convenient. You can pretty much watch TV wherever and whenever you want. If you have the right box at home, you can access streaming services and free TV apps like the BBC.

Only time will tell if More TV can maintain its technologies and its originality, but for now it is the best option for people who want a basic package.

Canal Digital’s TV packages (Satellite)

The only provider in our review that delivers the TV signal via satellite is Canal Digital. Some people may find this advantageous, but most prefer not to have a bowl-like receiver hanging constantly on the gable. Like all other companies, CanalDigital promises HD clarity – however, their prices are anything but clear…

The cheapest subscription, called Local, costs DKK 419. It is incredibly expensive compared to what you get from the competitors. Also, the channel selection is almost as disappointing.

Canal Digital states that you can watch TV on all devices, but so can all other providers.

Remember: Sports channels are an expensive link if you don’t watch sports!

The TV providers invest a lot of money in rights to sports programs, which affects the prices of TV packages. However, it is possible to find package solutions that provide access to sports channels at a relatively low price. If you’re not into sports, look for TV packages that don’t include sports channels – this will help keep costs down.
